Birthday Quick and Easy

Swap 001

Take a look at this colorful, quick and easy Birthday card that I recently provided at my team meeting. It uses a fun new stamp set called Balloon Bash. Sounds perfect for a Birthday card doesn't it? I selected the color combination from the pretty paper on the card.

Cardbase (Tempting Turquoise) - Cut 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of cardstock in half to make 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece. Fold in half making a front 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" (top fold).

Accent pieces: One piece of cardstock (Rich Razzleberry) cut to 5 1/4" x 2". One piece of cardstock (Daffodil Delight) cut to 5 1/4" x 1".
Pretty Paper (Sweet Taffy) cut to 5 1/4" x 1 1/2" (1" exposed).

Layer paper first towards the bottom of the cardbase (leave approx. 1/8" at three sides).

Next layer wider accent piece (Rich Razzleberry) equal on each side and with approx. 1" of paper exposed at the bottom.

Finally layer the narrower accent piece (Daffodil Delight) over the wider piece so there is an equal amount of Rich Razzleberry showing top and bottom (approx 1/2").

Adhere cardstock and paper using SNAIL adhesive.

Choose the HB stamp from the Balloon Bash stamp set. Mount on a clear block and stamp using Tempting Turquoise ink with consistent, firm pressure onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Using the smallest Deco Label framelit, center and adjust placement of framelit over stamped image. Using the Magnetic Platform helps keep the framelit and image in proper placement. Run through the Big Shot using the "sandwich" platform, acrylic plate, cardstock with framelit, acrylic plate. If not using the Magnetic Platform, be sure to be on the top layer of MultiPurpose platform.

Using Stampin' Dimensionals adhere the greeting in the center of the Daffodil Delight strip of cardstock.
