Still Lost Without You
The Going Places suite includes the stamp set Going Places and the paper stack Going Global. It has a wonderful masculine feel to it. I used a modified Rip & Flip technique on this card. instead of vertical placement I made sure my patterns would look good laying horizontal. Adding details to the card using the triple banner punch and the leftover patterned paper adds interest without adding ribbon which can seem to be too feminine at times. This card could be for a birthday, Father's Day, or missing you like shown.
Cardbase (Whisper White): 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" folded in half for a top fold or 5 1/2" w x 4 1/4" h.
Accent layer (Basic Black): 4 7/8" x 4 1/4" (adhere to card base with equal borders on four sides).
Paper: 6" x 4" Then Rip at about 2/3 to 1/3 ratio. Flip and adhere one half at one side of Accent layer with equal borders on three sides. Then adhere opposite paper side to the other end of the accent layer with equal borders on three sides.
Since the paper stack has 6" x 6" paper you will have a 2" strip of paper left. Cut this in two pieces (not of equal length).
Punch 2 1/2" circle from Lost Lagoon cardstock.
Punch the end of a strip of Basic Black cardstock (3/4" x 3") with the Triple Banner Punch.
Stamp your greeting in Basic Black ink on a 1" x 3" strip of Whisper White cardstock.
Stamp the compass on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. Punch with the 2" circle punch. Layer on Lost Lagoon cardstock circle and adhere.
Layer banner in an attractive fashion and cover ends with the compass embellishment (adhered with dimensionals).
Adhere the greeting strip onto the cardfront.
Inside stamp the Global in Sahara Sand ink
and then stamp a second greeting over the top in Basic Black ink.
