Two Sided Paper Card Idea

Lb 1 wm

Make a card and send a card to one of them today! To help you do just that I'm sharing a simple and easily changed card idea that will work for any occasion! Just last week my friend Jessica shared a card idea that allowed both sides of a pretty paper to be shown on a card front. I loved that idea so I used the same idea to create this card for my first Social Distancing Card Class in the mail. I took a sheet of 12"x12" paper and cut it into three strips 4" wide. Then I cut those strips in half to be 4" x 6". Finally I cut each of these half into 4"x 5 1/4" pieces which left a 4"x 3/4" strip. I flipped that piece over and used it as an accent on the front of my card. Simple, brilliant, and beautiful! Let's take a look at the details!

Card Basics:
Cardbase - (Pool Party) 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", folded in half with left hinge
Paper layer - (Parisian Blossoms Specialty Paper) 4" x 5 1/4"
Accent strip - (opposite side same paper) 4" x 3/4"
Greeting - Petal Pink
Greeting accent - Basic Black

Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento or Stazon Jet Black

Stamp set: A Big Thank You

Tools: Pretty Label Punch

As always you'll need your basic tool kit:
Adhesive, scissors, and bone folder

Fold your cardbase in half. Add crisp fold with your Bone Folder. Put the fold to the left.

TIP: Stamp your greeting inside the card FIRST! You want to do this so that if you mess up your stamping you can turn the card inside out.

Adhere the pretty paper to the Pool Party cardbase.

Adhere the strip of paper to the cardfront approx 1" up from bottom.

Punch a Basic Black Greeting accent piece.

Stamp your "greeting" onto a scrap piece of Petal Pink. Punch it out with Pretty Label Punch.

Punch the greeting piece using the Pretty Label punch.

Cut the Basic Black accent piece in half the long way. Place half the accent piece behind the greeting piece and adjust the spacing until you have the accent you desire. Repeat with the other half. Adhere each half onto the back of the greeting piece.

Attach the greeting to the front of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Add Basic Pearls to the greeting label.

Write a message inside the card and get it in the mail today!
