Classic Layout for a Classic Guy

Man birthday

I have a hand full of layouts that I use over and over again for cards. This is one of them. A pop of color with the diagonal paper, but imagine if you will that you could easily put a layer of textured cardstock or simple stamped background on cardstock in it's place. The greeting and the main focus stamping on the same panel with an accent cardstock frame. This card is purposely easy so I can mass produce it. My suggestion to you is to use this layout with your choice of stamps, colors, and featured background to make a series of cards to fill your stash!

Lost without You

Masculine bday 160312 1 crop

A masculine card that lets you use scraps for most of the embellishments. The compass lets him know he'll never be Lost without you. This card can be a birthday card like shown or any greeting needed. The banner punches give a fun accent on this card.

Bright Flowers and Spring!

March swap crop

I know if I were just a little patient then Spring would be here, but I can't wait so I made my own bright flowers! It is a snap with the Bloomin' Botanicals framelit dies! You can stamp and cut or in my case, just cut and layer to add realistic looking blossoms. This card could be used for so many upcoming occasions, such as Mother's Day, a birthday, or just thinking of you! I love the bright colors I used, but as you know, it is easy to use the same layout but change up the colors to create a completely different looking card. I'd love to see what you create!

Washi Easter Egg

Washi easter egg card

For a recent team swap we had the theme of Spring or Easter. I wanted to use product that I had on hand to make an Easter card. I love washi tape because it so colorful and easy to work with so I knew I would be using it for my card. I decided I wanted a little pattern on the top layer (that the egg shape is cut from) so I decided to use pretty paper, but this layer could have been cardstock and a pattern could have been stamped on it. I hope this gives you ideas of other shapes you could cut out and other washi tape you could use to create an easy but desirable card.

Oh, Hello

2016 02 29 20.00.48

Not too long ago I had seen a post on the Stampin' Up! facebook page about some quick notecards they made with the Honeycomb Happiness Sale-A-Bration set. They put pretty paper on the front of the note cards and punched an oval hole to expose the stamping within the card. I loved that idea and immediately saw a sweet Easter or new Baby card! I decided to go to full size card and add pretty ribbon. I plan to make several in a variety of papers to have Baby cards on hand when I need them!

With Sympathy

2016 02 29 20.00.19

I needed a card for some of my male cousins whose father passed away recently. When I saw a Thank You card featured in the catalog for the Rose Wonder stamp set I immediately thought that would be a nice Sympathy card. So with some minor modifications my card design was born. I especially like the touch of corrugated paper on the cutout leaves.

Who do you love?

Think about all the things you do for everyone else. Now think about what you do just for yourself. If you are like most women, not much. Maybe you should think about joining the Stampin’ Up! family? Why? You could do something fun for yourself and give wonderful things to everyone else. You could craft gifts for them, or you could earn extra money to provide special things for those you love. Maybe a weekend away, a special vacation, or simply one dinner out per week. You decide what you want to accomplish and let me help you set goals to achieve them. Smiles and Flowering Fields

Somhs swap card 160208

My recent swap card has a soft touch of Spring. All the promise of warmer weather and sweet smells of field flowers. I was so honored to have this card selected as the best of the swap at our recent team meeting. I have only received this honor two other times, so it is rewarding to have such a talented bunch choose your design as their favorite. This card could easily transition to sympathy card, thinking of you, birthday, or congratulations.
