Awesome Playful Pennants |
|
A great color combination, easy layout, and a fun stamp set that comes with it's own punch! Cards don't get any cuter or faster than this one! I designed this one with a tween in mind, but change up the colors, the pretty paper, and you have a card for the guys or gals on your list!

Card base (Island Indigo) - cut an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock in half making 2 card bases which will be 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". You will only need one for this project. Save the other for another time or double up the rest of the steps and make two cards right now!
Fold in half along the 8 1/2" side making a left opening 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card front.
Accent layer (Whisper White): Make two at 4" x 5 1/4" each. Adhere one to the card front and add one inside the card to allow readable area for the signature.
Scrap pieces of cardstock (Island Indigo & Pool Party) as accent piece for the punched shapes. (Whisper White) pieces for stamping and punching.
Adhere the 4" x 1" strip of pretty paper approx. 3/4" to 1" down from the top of card.
Punch two banners from scrap cardstock (one Indigo and one Pool Party). Stamp the stripe pennant (Calypso Coral) twice. One will be punched out with the scalloped pennant punch and once that you will punch with the Banner Punch.
Arrange the banners in an appealing pattern just under the strip of pretty paper and adhere to the card front.
Stamp the circle covered pennant with Pool Party and the "Awesome" greeting in Island Indigo onto scrap pieces of Whisper White cardstock. Punch both of them out with the straight side pennant punch.
Punch a scalloped edge pennant from a scrap piece of Pool Party cardstock. Layer the straight edge pennants with the scalloped pennants and adhere together. Adhere one flat on the pretty paper strip and pop one up with dimensionals.
Stamp the greeting "Happy Birthday to you!" in Island Indigo ink at the bottom of the card front.
Stamp your choice of greeting inside the card.
