Joyful Season |
|
I t is a joyful season when one can gather with family and friends to celebrate the birth of Jesus! But, when we can't gather it is equally joyful to spend a few minutes to create a card that can be mailed across the miles to let that far away loved know how special they are to you! This beautiful cardinal card does just that! The two-step stamp creates the illusion that you have watercolored the cardinal but takes care of the job in a quick and easy stamp of ink! This card can extend past the Christmas season by using different greetings and making it a birthday or thinking of you card instead.

Cardbase (Cherry Cobbler) cut an 8 1/2"x11" piece of cardstock in half to make 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" cardbase. Fold in half along the 8 1/2" side to make a top fold card.
Accent piece (Always Artichoke): Cut piece to 5 1/4" x 4".
Oval (Very Vanilla): Cut an oval using the largest (non-scalloped) oval 4 3/8" x 3 1/2".
Inside (Very Vanilla): Cut a quarter of a sheet of cardstock to 5 1/4" x 4"
On the Inside piece and the Accent piece use the Curvy Corner Trio Punch to accent the corners with either of the corner options. Stamp a greeting on the interior piece and adhere to the inside of the cardbase.
Wrap a piece of gold glitter ribbon at the bottom third of the accent piece and adhere the ribbon to the back of the card. Use dimensionals to adhere the accent piece to the front of the cardbase.
On the precut oval, stamp the outside of the cardinal in black and stamp the inside of the cardinal in Cherry Cobbler.
Stamp the bare branch in Crumb Cake onto the oval so that it appears the cardinal is perched on the branch.
Stamp the appropriate greeting in an area on the oval that doesn't conflict with the cardinal.
