One design - made two ways! Splash of Sparkles Cards! |
|
I
had prepared this featured card in another way, but I started to second guess myself. So I set off in a slightly different, but i think BETTER direction!
That's what happened with this card design. I was creating for a recent Card Kit in the Mail and put the banner pieces at each end of the greeting tag. It looked good, but I decided to try something a little different and layered the banner ends on ONE SIDE of the greeting.
I really liked this version so I'm featuring it as my Weekend Card Making Inspiration in my weekly email! Follow along for all the instructions!
Cut Highland Heather Cardstock to 8.5" x 5.5, score at 4.25" along the long side and fold in half for a top fold card base.
Cut Splash Of Sparkles Specialty Designer Series Paper into 5.25" x 2" piece and attach to the bottom of the card front: keep equal border on three sides.
Cut a piece of blue/silver Flower Garden Foils Specialty Paper to be 5.5” x .75” and attach over the top edge of the paper.
Note: if you don't have this pretty RETIRED paper, you can take any FOIL paper and emboss it to create a stepped up look like this!
Punch two banner ends from Bubble Bath Cardstock and attach as desired. Stacked and layered to one side as shown in the project front, or one on each side of the greeting tag as shown here.
Stamp a greeting on the Basic White Cardstock and punch using the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch and attach to the front using Stampin' Dimensionals
