All About Love - Classic Card Layout

The featured project today is one that I created and shared in a recent Card Kit in the Mail offering.

It uses a Classic Card Layout.

This is a pattern that can be used over and over with any paper and any greeting shape.

You don't need these colors or papers to make a beautiful card!

Here's the sample:

Pick out your favorite paper and color palette and let's go!

Project Basics:

Cardbase:  8.5" x 5.5" Flirty Flamingo cardstock

Accent Layer & Inside Layer: 4" x 5.25" Basic White (see greeting tag below)

Left side Paper: 1.5" x 5", Right side Paper: 3" x 5" (not shown but could use Forever Love Paper)

Accent Strip: 1/2" x 5" Gold Foil paper

Greeting tag: Basic White, can be punched out of the accent layer before papers are attached. Punched with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch as shown, try the Lasting Label Punch for a feminine look!

Embellishments: 2 or 3 Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequin pack (gold shown)

Project Instructions:

  1. Fold card base in half and make left hinge fold.
  2. Stamp a greeting onto the white cardstock background layer and punch using the desired shape.
  3. Layer the 3” x 5” paper on the right side first, then layer the 1.5” x 5” paper on the left overlapping the paper. Cover the seam with the foil strip.
  4. Choose the desired location of the tag and attach to the cardfront using Dimensionals.
  5. Add the sparkle embellishments as desired.
  6. Stamp a greeting on the neutral cardstock piece. Center and adhere inside the cardbase.
