My Dad's side of the family Christmas party was this past weekend.

I am extremely close with many of my cousins.

I lived with my Aunt Janice and her family when I was in my early 20's.

I have stayed close, like a daughter to her, and like a sister to her kids (my cousins).

My cousin Kelly and I shared a room when I lived with them.

When I was visiting with her during the party she was admiring the Christmas card I made for her.

She said she has taken to sending New Year's cards because then she can include a family photo that is taken during Christmas.

Her children are spread out over the US, two in WI (one near Milwaukee and one in Madison) and two in other states (one in California and one in Louisiana).

Christmas is the one time per year that all four of her children (and their families) are home.

As I said to her, I love the IDEA of a New Years card!
